Description
The Aircraft Cabin Interior Engineer designs, analyzes, and substantiates cabin interior systems and components for transport-category aircraft, including seats, emergency equipment, panels, windows, and stowage bins. The role prepares modification, installation, and fabrication drawings and engineering reports, participates in design reviews, troubleshoots issues during STC prototype and post-STC testing, and may travel domestically and internationally up to 10%. It requires a bachelor's degree in aerospace, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering or equivalent, two years of engineering design or analysis experience, commercial aircraft experience, familiarity with FARs and the FAA STC process, technical-drawing interpretation skills, and AutoCAD/Inventor proficiency.
