Description
The Engineer/Conductor operates trains, freight cars, and locomotives in rail yards and on the main railroad, controlling switches, throttle and brake systems, couplings, air brakes, and train movements while complying with railroad rules and FRA requirements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of train services experience, a valid state driver’s license, FRA Conductor and Locomotive Engineer certifications, and the ability to work on a 24-hour schedule with overtime and shift work. The position involves physical yard work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and operating heavy equipment.
