The ERCOT Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a 12-16 month entry-level power engineering development program for engineers based in ERCOT’s modeling groups. The role monitors changes to the ERCOT Transmission Grid and network models, develops and maintains business software, data formats, interfaces, and processes, analyzes transmission network data, supports load-flow and power-system modeling, validates models and databases, and coordinates with operations, market, and planning groups. The position is based in Taylor, Texas, requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field or six years of applicable experience, and requires at least two days per week on-site; remote work is performed from a Texas residence. The earliest start date is spring, summer, or fall 2027.
