Description
Newmont is hiring an onsite Mine Planner for its Merian open-pit gold mine in Sipaliwini, Suriname. The role prepares and maintains weekly mine scheduling and drill-and-blast work packages, develops rolling drilling and blasting schedules, designs blast patterns and wall-control blasting, reconciles planned and actual production, monitors fragmentation and vibration, performs drilling-and-blast QAQC, and produces daily plans and reports. The position requires a B.S. degree in Engineering and 0–2 years of experience, knowledge of mine-design software and spreadsheets, and proficiency in English; the schedule is 14 days on, 7 days off, with 12-hour shifts.
