Description
The Electrical Design Engineer will undertake electrical services design from feasibility through concept and detailed design stages, covering low-voltage distribution, single-line diagrams, standby generation, discrimination studies, UPS systems, cable and lighting calculations, distribution-board schedules, small power, fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, data cabling, lightning protection, technical writing, contractor reviews, and half-hour metered data analysis. The role requires knowledge of UK and European regulations, electrical design software such as Amtech/Trimble Pro-Design, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD, graphical communication, collaboration with other engineering disciplines, and experience with capital projects and motor controls including variable-speed drives.
