Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer - Manufacturing Test Engineering (RF Systems) in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The role develops, integrates, validates, and maintains software for testing radio-frequency production hardware, including Shop Replaceable Units and Line Replaceable Units, and supports acceptance testing, environmental screening, troubleshooting, testability reviews, and continuous improvement. The position requires a relevant STEM degree, at least two years of relevant experience or an MS degree, hardware and software testing experience, programming experience, and U.S. citizenship; a Secret clearance is required for start. The base salary range is $87,600 to $131,400, with possible overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field; alternatively, a Master of Science in an equivalent field.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of relevant experience for the bachelor's-degree path.
Hardware and calibration/testing methodology experience.
Experience using test instruments such as network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Experience with C#, C, LabVIEW, or Lab Windows CVI.
Hardware, software, or firmware troubleshooting experience.
Software design, development, integration, and validation project experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior hardware and software troubleshooting experience with test equipment or prime hardware.
Experience troubleshooting units under test.
Experience with RF electronic systems in manufacturing or design.
Familiarity with schematics and electrical one-lines.
Experience using GitHub.
Active Department of Defense security clearance.
