Western Digital is hiring a Firmware Engineer to design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain firmware for eHDD products. The role involves C++ and Python software, data structures, algorithms, data paths, drivers, SAS/SATA/PCIe interfaces, hardware-software collaboration, technical investigations, and firmware design documentation. Preferred qualifications include microcontroller and embedded systems knowledge, bus-analyzer debugging experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer or electronics engineering, or an equivalent field is required, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
