Description
Eaton Life Safety Division is hiring an Engineer Firmware to develop high-performance Linux-based embedded firmware for edge devices in life-safety and emergency-lighting systems. The role involves translating business features into technical requirements, designing secure and reusable software, collaborating with product, engineering, and test teams, delivering incremental projects, and writing unit-tested code. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical, or electronics engineering and at least three years of hands-on experience with C, C++, Linux-based firmware, microcontrollers, device drivers, and data structures; industrial fieldbus and communication protocols are preferred.
