CoVolt Power is hiring an Engineer 1 - Electrical for its corporate office in Albany, New York. The role designs low-, high-, and extra-high-voltage power systems and electrical substations, including single-line and protection diagrams, control-panel layouts, cable schedules, grounding, lightning protection, and underground cabling. The Engineer 1 will support substation engineering and construction projects, review and coordinate drawings and calculations, support purchasing and vendor submittals, and mentor less experienced engineers. An associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is required, while a bachelor's degree in electrical or electrical power engineering is preferred; the role typically requires 10% travel and basic Microsoft Office and advanced AutoCAD skills.
