Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring an Engineer I–Software Development to join its L1 Quality Assurance team in Houston, Texas. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining an automated QA framework and test suite for validating data center storage solutions, including system-level and custom IOCTL calls. Responsibilities include developing automated tests, debugging product and test failures, maintaining testing infrastructure, and tracking work in an Agile environment. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, at least two years of C++ and Bash Shell scripting experience, Linux experience, and knowledge of object-oriented design and multi-threaded environments.
