Description
Engineer II performs independent engineering design reviews and analyses for ship hull, machinery, and related marine engineering projects, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, contracts, and quality requirements. The role provides technical support to field and technical teams, resolves moderately complex design and coordination problems, prepares reports and client communications, tracks workload and billing, and works autonomously while collaborating with others. Candidates need a relevant engineering degree, engineering software literacy, exposure to the Finite Element Method, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and—depending on background—substantial industry experience or relevant professional licensure.
