Description
Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer to build Python services, APIs, data pipelines, databases, messaging systems, and web platforms for semiconductor manufacturing data. The role also develops and deploys AI/ML models and LLM-based solutions, collaborates with test, yield, and process engineers, identifies automation opportunities, and maintains technical documentation. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional software development experience, Python proficiency, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with AI/ML concepts; LLM, containerization, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, and semiconductor-domain experience are preferred. The role is 100% inside during normal business hours, may involve 0–25% travel, and does not offer visa sponsorship.
