Duke Energy is hiring an Energy Storage Engineer to provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for the evaluation, qualification, and deployment of battery energy storage systems. The role covers equipment assessments, approved vendor-list management, supplier qualification, procurement support, system design reviews, project feasibility and technical due diligence, commissioning readiness, and lifecycle planning. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and either four or six years of engineering experience depending on the Engineer III or Senior Engineer track, with hybrid work and domestic and international travel.
