Description
The Engineer-in-Training will support engineering and planning work by reviewing consultant designs, plans, and specifications; coordinating with consultants and public officials; assisting supervisors with research and specialized engineering analysis; and using engineering and planning software. The role is part of a trainee program lasting approximately 3–5 years, with promotion to Engineer I after successful completion of the Professional Engineer Examination and a minimum starting salary of $81,046.00 annually. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, an Engineer Intern certificate, and EIT certification from the Board of Professional Engineers, along with a valid Florida driver's license.
