AES Clean Energy is hiring a Performance Engineer to analyze and optimize the performance of photovoltaic and grid-scale battery storage projects. The role involves operational performance analysis, performance testing, root-cause investigation, capacity and performance-ratio testing, KPI reporting, safety assessments, and coordination with field service and asset management teams. The engineer will also support process improvement, technology adoption, and growth planning, with up to 10–15% travel to project locations and partner offices. An undergraduate engineering degree or equivalent technical field is required, along with analysis, database, Microsoft, schematic-reading, communication, and safety skills; PE qualifications, advanced analytics, PV and BESS design, SCADA, and Spanish experience are preferred. The expected starting salary is $87,000–$104,550 per year, with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off benefits.
