Description
The Engineer or Scientist will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport STEM outreach programs for K-12 students, including classroom efforts, robotics development and competitions, and immersive on-site programs. The role provides hands-on assistance with scientific experiments, robotics, and engineering prototypes, develops educational programs, and coordinates with the STEM Outreach Director, Chief Technology Office personnel, and Division leadership. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, suitable for federal employment, obtain and maintain a security clearance, and have at least one year of specialized experience applying scientific or engineering principles with educational methods to develop STEM lesson plans and coordinate academic internship programs.
