Description
The role manages daily valve-assembly production planning, plan-versus-actual monitoring, work-in-process aging, capacity utilization, equipment needs, lean practices, operator multi-skilling, outside processing, 5S, safety, and defect reduction. It requires knowledge of valve assembly and testing, machining tolerances, special processes, ISO quality and occupational health and safety systems, Oracle, and the ability to manage unionized and contract workforces. Preferred qualifications include a mechanical or instrumentation engineering degree, at least 10 years of valve-industry production experience, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
