AEP is hiring an on-site Transmission Line Engineer to plan and scope T-Line projects, select structure types, evaluate geotechnical reports, design multiple foundation types, assess wire tension and clearance, use PLS-CADD, and conduct approximately 10% field travel. The role requires advanced engineering expertise, leadership of engineering work, complex problem-solving, technical communication, and decision-making across organizational boundaries. The minimum qualifications are four or more years of related engineering experience with an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree, or two years of experience with a master's or PhD; a civil engineering degree is highly preferred, and PE registration is encouraged.
