St. Louis County is hiring a seasonal Highway Engineering Assistant for the summer of 2027 to perform elementary highway engineering and surveying field work. The role involves operating surveying instruments, assisting with field measurements, construction staking, utility measure-downs, gravel testing, material checks, and elementary computations. It is a full-time seasonal position lasting less than six months, with work locations in Duluth, Hibbing, and Virginia, and requires applicants to be at least 17 years old, a high school graduate or 18 by the first work day, and hold a valid driver's license.
