Description
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis is hiring Environmental Engineering Interns for its Stormwater Permitting Section in Queens, New York. Under supervision, interns will review construction plans, applications, calculations, and supporting documentation for compliance with stormwater rules and the SWPPP; inspect construction sites before, during, and after construction; witness soil testing; respond to complaints; and verify compliance with approved stormwater management practices. Applicants must provide proof of filing and passing the recent DCAS Civil Service Exam for Environmental Engineering Intern and meet the specified engineering or engineering-technology education and experience requirements.
