Description
DNRC’s Water Resources Division is hiring an Engineering Intern to support the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of Montana’s state-owned dams and water-resources infrastructure. Working under licensed Professional Engineers, the intern will conduct dam safety and operations-and-maintenance inspections, evaluate infrastructure conditions, support field monitoring and incident response, perform engineering calculations and technical studies, assist with instrumentation and automation, and help prepare regulatory and project documentation. The position is based in Helena, Montana, requires approximately 30% travel and fieldwork, and offers benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave.
