Optiver is hiring an Engineering Lead for its APAC Data Engineering Platform team in Sydney. The role combines hands-on software engineering with leadership, including building and growing the team, defining the data platform strategy and roadmap, architecting scalable data platform components, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to production code. Candidates need at least seven years of software engineering experience delivering production platforms, two years leading software engineering teams, distributed systems expertise, programming-language expertise, data platform and streaming knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication skills.
