Plaid is hiring a Staff Engineering Manager to lead a newly formed AI Applications team of four engineers, ranging from junior to staff. The role owns long-term strategy and execution, coaches engineers, and leads projects involving LLM-powered products, API and MCP integrations, conversational interfaces, trust and consent systems, customer support agents, and agentic commerce. Candidates need at least eight years of industry experience, including staff-level engineering and engineering management, plus hands-on GenAI product experience and a track record of building high-performing engineering teams.
