Description
General Matter is hiring an Applied AI Team Lead to build and grow an AI-first engineering team that accelerates nuclear licensing, safety analysis, design, manufacturing, and other engineering workflows. The role owns technical direction, prioritization, architecture, difficult technical problems, scalable engineering practices, and cross-functional communication, while also hiring and developing engineers. It requires 7+ years of software engineering or applied AI experience, 2+ years managing or growing engineers, LLM or AI-agent software experience, Python proficiency, and a relevant technical degree. The position is 100% on-site in the United States, requires a US Q clearance, and offers a base salary of $220,000-$300,000 annually plus potential stock options and medical, vision, and dental coverage.
