Description

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead electrical preconstruction and virtual design teams across nationwide construction projects. The role oversees Design Engineers and Virtual Designers, coordinates electrical installation and design documents, performs and reviews technical calculations, ensures compliance with electrical and building codes, manages project plans, schedules, budgets, quality, and financial performance, and collaborates with architects, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and project personnel. The position requires substantial electrical experience, leadership and organizational skills, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud tools, and related BIM platforms.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; construction management or construction technology education preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: Revit certification or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
10 or more years of relevant electrical experience preferred, with completion of the Virtual Designer career development plan.
Supervisory experience with an electrical contractor preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, IBC, IECC, and life safety codes.
Strong organizational and management skills.
Ability to prioritize work and operate with minimal supervision.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Ability to lead electrical design discussions.
