Description
The Engineering Manager directs the manufacturing engineering department, including planning engineering assignments, developing manufacturing concepts, coordinating with marketing, quality assurance, product engineering, customers, and suppliers, managing personnel and budgets, reviewing proposals and cost estimates, developing cost-reduction programs, and overseeing maintenance and tool-room functions. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, at least eight years of related manufacturing experience with four years in a supervisory or management position, and knowledge of JIT, cellularized manufacturing, FMEA, process flow diagrams, CAD/CAM, ANSI, and GD&T.
