Valon is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Cloud Infrastructure efforts on the Platform team. The role involves managing and growing a team responsible for foundational infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across compute, databases, storage, and networking. The manager will adopt new data stores like Vitess and Clickhouse, scale batch processing, and create a production-equivalent sandbox environment. They will balance short-term priorities with long-term platform vision, partnering with engineering, product, and operations. It's a hands-on leadership role requiring guidance on architecture, coding, and system understanding, along with focusing on recruiting, coaching, and continuous engineer development.
