SPT Labtech is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Electronics and Motion Control R&D team in Cambridge. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical authority across electronics design, motion control, embedded systems, low-level system integration, electromechanical systems, product architecture, hardware debugging, and sustaining engineering for laboratory automation products. The manager will recruit and develop engineers, guide architecture and product development from concept through launch, collaborate across software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and service teams, and ensure compliance with relevant international standards. A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, technical engineering management experience, and substantial electronics and motion-control expertise are required; private medical insurance and a pension plan are offered.
