Description

TuxCare is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Language Security Research function, managing approximately 18 engineers across Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP teams. The role owns people leadership, technical standards for CVE analysis and security patch backporting, CI/CD and release workflows, SLA compliance, cross-team coordination, and technical escalation. Candidates need at least six years of software development experience across multiple language ecosystems, three or more years of engineering leadership, strong Java expertise, vulnerability-analysis experience, CI/CD and dependency-management knowledge, process-building experience, and strong English communication. The position is fully remote worldwide with flexible hours and includes development opportunities, leave, medical-insurance compensation, and other reimbursements.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 6 years of hands-on software development across multiple language ecosystems
At least 3 years of engineering leadership experience in a product company
Experience with security research or vulnerability analysis
Experience building or improving engineering processes
Experience working in distributed teams and larger organizations
Preferred Qualifications: Language-ecosystem vulnerability analysis
Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, CSAF, and VEX
Open-source or software supply-chain security background
AI tooling integration
Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native knowledge
Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency
