Description

TuxCare is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead its Language Security Research function, overseeing four teams and approximately 18 engineers working on security patches for end-of-life and non-end-of-life open-source language runtimes and frameworks. The role combines people leadership, technical direction, vulnerability research, patch backporting, CI/CD and release-process standardization, SLA ownership, and cross-team delivery coordination. It is fully remote worldwide with flexible hours.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 6 years of software development experience across multiple language ecosystems
At least 3 years of engineering leadership experience in a product company
Experience owning technical delivery and team outcomes
Experience in security research or vulnerability analysis
Experience creating or improving engineering processes
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of JavaScript, Go, Python, or PHP
Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, CSAF, and VEX
Open-source or supply-chain security background
AI tooling integration experience
Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native knowledge
Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency
