Description

TuxCare is hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its Language Security Research function, overseeing four teams of about 18 engineers that deliver security patches for end-of-life and non-EOL open-source language runtimes and frameworks. The role combines people leadership, technical direction, and delivery ownership across Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP ecosystems, with responsibilities spanning CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting, CI/CD workflow standardization, SLA compliance, and cross-team coordination. The position is fully remote and requires substantial software development, security research, and engineering management experience.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of hands-on software development experience across multiple language ecosystems
3+ years of engineering leadership experience in a product company
Preferred Qualifications: Experience identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in language-ecosystem applications
Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, CSAF, and VEX
Background in open-source or supply chain security and ELS-type products
Experience using AI tooling in research or patching workflows
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native ecosystems
