Description
Discord is hiring a full-time Engineering Manager to lead its Safety ML team and own production machine learning systems for content understanding, account integrity, and platform abuse. The role includes hiring and coaching ML engineers, setting the technical roadmap, managing model performance and operational health, improving label quality and investigations, and collaborating with Trust & Safety, Product, Policy, Legal, and Data Science. Candidates need 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Applied Scientist, 3+ years as an Engineering Manager with a team of 5+ engineers, and hands-on expertise in abuse or fraud detection, content classification, behavioral modeling, graph-based modeling, or LLM-based classification. The US base salary range is $272,000 to $340,000 plus equity and benefits.
