Description

Vonage is hiring an EU/US Platform Engineering Manager to lead a globally distributed team of platform engineers and drive the roadmap for platform workflows, automation, tooling, Kubernetes upgrades, security, reliability, and compliance. The role manages people, coordinates cross-team changes, tracks SLAs and error budgets, maintains on-call reliability, and partners with architects and product. It requires at least two years of engineering management experience leading platform, DevOps, or SRE teams, along with Kubernetes, AWS, and platform-management expertise.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of engineering management experience leading platform, DevOps, or SRE teams
Experience leading engineers through transitions from operational or SRE roles into product-oriented platform engineering
Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades at scale, and cross-team rollout coordination
Experience with the AWS ecosystem and enterprise platform infrastructure
Experience unblocking dependencies and coordinating complex multi-team deliverables
Experience defining and tracking SLAs, KPIs, change failure rates, and error budgets
Experience with compliance and security constraints in regulated environments
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EKS
Experience with Port.io, OpsLevel, or a similar internal developer platform
Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD, Crossplane, or Kyverno
AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications
Experience in CFIUS-regulated or similarly complex compliance environments
Background as a platform or SRE engineer before moving into management
