Description
AWS is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair mission-critical data center facility equipment, including electrical systems, generators, UPS units, cooling systems, pumps, and fire/life safety equipment. The role performs building rounds, preventive maintenance, rack-level work, technical writing, project execution, and on-site contractor support, with flexible shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and possible night or on-call rotations. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience, and a flexible schedule; data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, and an associate or technical degree are preferred. The position is based in Lithia Springs, Georgia, with starting pay of 32.88 to 57.50 USD per hour.
