Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, fuel systems, three-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, batteries, cooling systems, chillers, pumps, motors, fire and life-safety equipment, and building management systems. The role performs preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, rack installations and decommissioning, technical writing, work-request resolution, and on-site contractor support, with flexible evening, overnight, and weekend shifts and possible on-call rotations. Candidates need at least one year of mechanical facilities maintenance experience, one year of electrical facilities maintenance experience, and one year of Microsoft Office experience; data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, and a related associate or technical degree are preferred. The position may require travel between data center sites and offers a starting pay of 32.88–57.50 USD per hour in Alldie, Virginia.
