Description
The Engineering Operations Technician I supports AWS data center operations by maintaining and operating electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment; performing rack installs and decommissioning; troubleshooting facility and rack-level events; managing contractors and vendors; and contributing to change management, procedures, and building-systems work. The role requires flexible weekend, night, and holiday scheduling, may involve on-call rotations, and includes physical work in uneven terrain and on ladders. Candidates need at least two years of combined electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience, Microsoft Office experience, and preferably data center engineering experience, technical-documentation skills, vocational or technical training, or an associate degree or above.
