Description
Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and operation of data center infrastructure. The role includes monitoring UPS systems, switchgear, generators, chillers, HVAC, and other critical equipment; diagnosing and resolving operational events; coordinating contractor maintenance; and supporting safety and facility reliability. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of mechanical room infrastructure and electrical theory, and English communication skills; Spanish fluency, a relevant engineering degree, and data center engineering experience are preferred. The role involves shift rotation including early mornings, nights, and weekends, and requires access to personal transportation to the work location.
