Type One Energy is hiring an Engineering Physicist in Knoxville, Tennessee, for a permanent full-time contract reporting to the Director of Electrical and Software Engineering. The role supports the design, construction, deployment, operation, data analysis, and troubleshooting of plasma diagnostics for an advanced fusion stellarator, while contributing to experiments and multidisciplinary engineering and science projects. The position requires a relevant engineering or physics degree, experience with fusion or plasma diagnostics, data acquisition and analysis, scientific programming, CAD and analysis software, and familiarity with fusion safety protocols; knowledge of stellarator concepts is highly desirable.
