Description

HDR is seeking an Engineering Principal to lead its Colorado building engineering team in Denver. The role combines executive-level business development and strategic market growth with senior technical and project leadership across integrated architecture and engineering projects, including serving as Project Manager, Senior Engineer, or Engineer-of-Record, advising on complex technical challenges, conducting quality and technical reviews, and mentoring staff. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering, 15 years of related experience, at least 7 years of project management experience, a recognized Professional Engineer license, MS Office and MS Project experience, and demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a degree in Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering is preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 15 years of related engineering experience, including a minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
Substantial engineering project experience and a professional network in Colorado and beyond.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated success in architecture/engineering business development in Colorado.
Experience in higher education, hospitality, healthcare, aerospace, commercial real estate, mission-critical facilities, or aviation.
MS Access experience.
