Description

Canadian Natural is seeking an Engineering Student for an 8-month internship with its Development Operations team in Calgary, Alberta. The student will support planning, execution, optimization, data acquisition and analysis for well abandonment, pipeline abandonment, decommissioning, and related oil and gas operations, using industry software such as Wellview, Siteview, Accumap, and Tableau. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, requires enrollment in the second, third, or fourth year of an engineering degree, and requires a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence or equivalent.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Currently enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of an engineering degree program; preferred disciplines include Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Energy, and Petroleum/Oil & Gas engineering.
Required Previous Experiences: Relevant prior experience is not required; the role provides exposure and hands-on learning across well, pipeline, and facility operations.
Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence or equivalent out-of-province licence.
Preferred Qualifications: Motivated, collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities.
Legal authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
