Description
The Optical Cable Test Technician performs environmental and mechanical testing of optical cables, cable assemblies, and components, and provides test, inspection, analytical, and root-cause support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality Assurance, and customer complaint teams. The role includes preparing test reports, troubleshooting test setups and catastrophic failures, performing cable annealing, and supporting production and product qualification. It requires an associate degree in engineering or an associated technical discipline and/or 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electro-optics, fiber optics, instrumentation, or measurements, along with computer, mathematical, communication, and safety skills. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility, overtime availability, and minimal travel.
