Freddie Mac is hiring a Technical Lead in GenAI & Automation Engineering to design and build production-grade AI-driven use cases, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, vector-search solutions, and Python-based microservices and APIs. The role embeds risk controls, governance, and compliance into GenAI systems, partners with Risk, Security, and Governance teams, and provides technical leadership across engineering, product, and risk initiatives. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 8–10+ years of software engineering experience, 5+ years in AI/ML or GenAI engineering, and strong Python, LLM, RAG, cloud, MLOps, and AI safety experience. The position is full time and offers an annualized market-based salary range of $146,000 to $218,000.
