Description

Pacific Defense is hiring an Engineering Technician in Sunnyvale, California to support engineering development, troubleshooting, production support, and complex instrumentation maintenance. The role involves assembling, reworking, and modifying PCBs; installing connectors, substrates, components, and modules in microwave assemblies; soldering SMT and through-hole parts; developing and troubleshooting electronics systems; and collecting RF characterization and test data. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, IPC certified, and meet the stated education and experience requirements.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience, or a relevant two-year technical degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience reading drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions to assemble PCBs
Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing in a cross-functional team
Experience in fast-paced iterative design environments with complex RF and high-speed digital electronic products
Experience reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage
