Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Electronics and Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer in Austin, Texas. The role performs moderately complex design, testing, checkout, fabrication, troubleshooting, assembly, and installation of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, including NPI installations and field upgrades. Responsibilities include working from schematics and plans, documenting test procedures, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing, troubleshooting system and component problems, and supporting quality notifications. The position requires physical work in a potentially noisy clean-room environment, use of hand and power tools, and operation of heavy machinery such as forklifts. It offers a $29.00–$39.60 salary range, 20% travel, and may include bonus and stock award programs.
