North Wind Services is hiring an Engineering Technician V to operate and maintain the Power Conditioning System and Plasma-Electrode Pockels Cell systems at the National Ignition Facility in Livermore, California. The role involves high-level computer control, high-voltage and control-system troubleshooting, hands-on maintenance and acceptance testing, documentation, spare-parts management, safety procedures, and coordination with scientists, engineers, and technicians in a 24/7 operational environment. Applicants need an AA/AS degree in Electronics Technology or at least four years of equivalent experience, strong electrical and control-system knowledge, and the ability to meet DOE clearance requirements.
