Description

Qualcomm is hiring an AI Software Engineer to develop and optimize software for the Qualcomm AI Stack, including the QAIRT SDK and Genie, to run generative AI models on Snapdragon platforms. The role focuses on designing low-power, low-memory AI runtime components, validating and optimizing inference performance, debugging complex issues, and collaborating on scalable AI software. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree and either 2+ years of related engineering experience or a master’s degree with 1+ year of experience, along with C/C++, Linux, software design, debugging, and testing skills.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 2+ years of general software development experience
1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
1+ years of embedded software application development
Familiarity with generative AI model architectures, including LLMs
Understanding of hardware acceleration and generative AI inference at the connected edge
Experience developing on Linux, Android, or Windows
Knowledge of low-level operating system and hardware interactions
Experience with CMake-based build environments
Experience with Qualcomm AI Stack products, including QNN and Genie
Experience with agile software development and Git-based source control
Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and manage multiple interests
