Description
AECOM is hiring an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer based in Germantown, Maryland, with an expected start in Spring 2027. The role supports geotechnical field exploration and laboratory testing, evaluates soil and bedrock conditions, performs foundation, seepage, stability, liquefaction, seismic, and pavement analyses, prepares technical reports, coordinates with engineering disciplines, and oversees subsurface investigations and construction activities. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical coursework or equivalent education and experience, a valid U.S. driver’s license, the ability to work in inclement weather and lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 50% of the time. A master’s degree, EIT certification, and knowledge of industry-standard software are preferred. US employment authorization sponsorship and relocation are not available.
