Description
The Environmental Compliance Coordinator oversees environmental compliance, monitoring, reporting, and regulatory coordination for Savannah’s Solid Waste Department, including landfill, collection, and other facilities. The role conducts field sampling and inspections, prepares reports for Georgia Environmental Online System and other agencies, manages environmental programs and vendor relationships, and provides staff training. It requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or public administration plus four years of relevant experience, a valid state driver’s license, and background and medical screening.
