Description
Stantec is hiring an entry-level Environmental Inspector for a temporary position supporting land-disturbing projects in New York State. The role performs daily and SWPPP inspections, assists with regulatory submissions and permit applications, monitors compliance during construction and restoration, supports HSE implementation, and collaborates with environmental and regulatory specialists. Candidates need experience with SPDES, SWPPP, Section 404/401, wetlands, stream issues, technical reports, and compliance; a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, agricultural science, or a related field; strong technical writing and computer skills; and a valid driver’s license. NYSDEC erosion and sediment control training is required before project start, and travel and possible relocation may be required.
