Description
The Environmental Operator maintains and monitors environmental systems, including water treatment plants, air filtration systems, and waste management facilities. The role operates and troubleshoots equipment, conducts air, water, and soil inspections and sampling, records and analyzes operational data, prepares reports, responds to equipment malfunctions and environmental incidents, and collaborates with environmental teams on audits, impact assessments, and sustainability projects. A high school diploma or equivalent, relevant environmental certification or license, basic regulatory and safety knowledge, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot environmental equipment are required; post-secondary education, data-management experience, occupational health and safety familiarity, and prior environmental operations experience are preferred.
